Cheryl Agulnick Hochberg is a New Jersey-based artist with a studio in the Manufacturers Village Studio Complex in East Orange, NJ.

Cheryl's recent solo exhibitions include Soft Machine Gallery in Pennsylvania (2023), Guttenberg Arts in New Jersey (2022), the Dadian Gallery at the Luce Center for the Arts and Religion in Washington, DC (2019), Five Points Gallery in Torrington, CT (2018), and VisArts Center in Rockville, MD (2018). Her paintings and drawings have been included in recent group exhibitions in the Brinton Museum in Big Horn, WY, The Schuykill Center for Environmental Research in Philadelphia, and in the New Jersey Arts Annual at the Noyes Museum. Her prints have been included the 2023 Wuhan Biennial, two recent exhibitions at the China Printmaking Museum, and the 3rd International Print Biennial in Yerevan, Armenia.

Cheryl has participated as a fellow in many artist residency programs including the Jentel Arts, Guttenberg Arts STAR program, the Guanlan Original Printmaking Base (Shenzhen, China), Playa (Summer Lake, OR), UCross (Clearmont, WY), Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, VT), The Studios at Key West (Key West, FL), and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (Amherst, VA).

Cheryl's studio practice was recently featured in an episode of Art Nation (“Earthworks”) on the Smithsonian Channel, and an essay about her creative process was recently included in Hoboken Girl Magazine. Her work has also been reproduced in EcoTheo Review, the Hand Magazine, Manifest’s International Painting Annual and New American Paintings. Her exhibition, "the Storks Come Home to Roost" (at VisArts Center in Rockville, MD) was reviewed in the Washington Post (August 3, 2018).

Cheryl Agulnick Hochberg received her BFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Hochberg was Professor of Art at Kutztown University from 1990-2018. She received Full Professor Status in 2007, and served as Chair of the Department of Art and Art History from 2007-2018. She was awarded Professor Emeritus status in 2018.
