"Walking and Thinking/Thinking and Walking" Cheryl Agulnick Hochberg and Andrew Brehm,
mixed media, 2006

Walking and Thinking/Thinking and Walking" consists of nine wall-mounted boxes, each containing a 6"x9" painting. A viewer pulls the long string to the right of each box, which opens the front door which, in turn, reveals the painting. The experience of walking through the installation is intended to simulate the sort of loose and unrelated thoughts one experiences when out walking. The thoughts are not intended to be linear or narrative. Rather, a viewer wanders through, perhaps spends more time with some rather then others, and is occasionally disrupted and has to go back and "refind" certain thoughts that were of particular interest.
